TripleFi 10vi Earphones
About a year ago I decided I needed a decent set of earphones. I did some research and decided on the "Ultimate Ears SuperFi 5EB" model. I like a lot of bass and at the time I thought these would be pretty good for my needs. I used them off and on and was generally happy with them. They have separate drivers for the lows and highs, along with a larger "chamber" for the low end.
Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago. Amazon had a great deal on the next model up from ultimate ears...the TripleFi 10vi. Being a sucker for a great deal, I bought. These are a lot more advanced than the SuperFi model. They are true three-way designs...with three separate drivers per earphone. Its amazing that they can fit it all in a size that is relatively small (compared to traditional headphones).
I've been listening to these off and on and they are simply amazing. The best earphones I've ever heard. Bass is plentiful and clean. Mids are clear and not canned or blurred. Highs are crisp...cymbals sound like...cymbals!
Now I have a good personal alternative when snowed in with the family. :)
